R.B.'s Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

The bowl really makes a great presentation with a nice top crust of cheese. If you want to make this a meal, you can add 1 pound of cooked Hamburger broken into about 1" chunks. Diced ham, chicken, or turkey can also be used. If you want to zest this up, you can add a teaspoon of chilie powder. For a crispier crust, you could sprinkle some fine bread crumbs on top.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups shell macaroni
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3-4 cheese slices.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook Shells per package directions.
  • Cut butter into several pieces and place in bread bowl.
  • In a mixing bowl combine milk and eggs till blended then add cheese.
  • Drain shells and pour hot shells in bread bowl,stirring the shells and butter until melted.
  • Slowly stir egg,milk,cheese into bowl with shells.
  • Place your slices of cheese on top of mixture.
  • Bake in oven for about 30 minutes or until bubbly, the cheese topping should begin to brown.
